Keane students hard at work

While William C. Keane Elementary School opened in the fall of 2008. the building has a rich history dating back to 1954 as St. Luke's Parish School.  We welcome about 320 children.  Our school is filled with culture and diversity.  Our dedicated staff is devoted to helping each student become the best they can be.

We work with many of our neighborhood organizations to serve our families and community.  We are partners with Parsons Child and Family Center and Schenectady County Action Program (SCAP) on nearby Bigelow Street.  We also have a longstanding relationship with our friends from Calvary Tabernacle Church on Albany Street.

Every student's path to graduation includes excellent teachers, school leaders and other caring adult who are committed to helping them meet academic expectations, plan for their futures and feel connected to our school.  We work to ensure that all of our students have the tools, resources and the opportunity to navigate a path to graduation and beyond.
